To successfully set up this application, follow these detailed steps:

1. Install ADB (Android Debug Bridge) on your computer. Comprehensive instructions can be found at developer.android.com.
2. Open a command prompt and navigate to the directory containing the adb executable, typically located at [Android SDK location]\platform-tools.
3. Launch an adb shell by entering the command adb shell.
4. In the adb shell, input the following command: pm grant keepass2android.plugin.keyboardswap2 android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS and press the Enter key.
5. To exit the adb shell, type exit.
6. Open Keepass2Android, then navigate to Settings > App Settings > Password-Access > Keyboard switching, and enable Auto-switch keyboard.

Note for Xiaomi device users: It may be necessary to enable certain settings prior to executing the adb shell command. Specifically, you will need to toggle USB debugging within Security settings and confirm through a series of warnings. Additionally, please note that any changes made will only take effect after a reboot of your device.
